Hull City Juniors 1 Barnsley Juniors 0

Persistence finally paid off with a 81st minute strike after city took
advantage of a defensive lapse and drove into the bottom right hand
corner. City dominated proceedings in very damp blustery conditions. The
juniors went close twice, hitting the cross-bar in both halves. Goalkeeper
Matthew Baker was a spectator for the majority of the game Barnsley came
close when Michael Edwards took the legs of a surging Barnsley stiker who
was through on goal. But to the disbelief of spectators, the referee only
awarded a free kick when a red card looked certain.
